Greensboro-based Unifi Manufacturing joined others such as IBM, Microsoft, EMC and Raleigh-based Red Hat among the winners of the 2009 NCTA 21 Awards, the North Carolina Technology Association announced Friday morning.
The NCTA Awards program recognizes companies and individuals in 21 technology and business categories. This year’s awards were presented at NCTA’s annual gala, held Thursday night at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Cary.
Unifi, a textile firm, has N.C. operations in Greensboro, Yadkinville, Madison and Reidsville, along with facilities in Brazil and Colombia, South America; and, a wholly-owned subsidiary in Suzhou China. Unifi earned the Green Technology Award.
